VISUAL BEHAVIOR

Winner of the French national innovation award (iLab), Visual Behavior has developed a software vision sensor addressing mobile robots' full autonomy. Aloception provides the essential components of the scene: navigable areas, obstacles and robot location. Navigable areas and obstacles are provided with descriptors to meet the final robotic applications (obstacle avoidance, follow-me, SLAM, occupancy map, etc.). Based solely on simple cameras, Aloception refocuses the autonomy of robots on their degree of intelligence rather than on the nature of its sensors. This technology reduces hardware and development costs, while increasing the adaptability of robots in their environment.
